We are looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer to help us create digital experiences that make technology easier, faster, and more human.

In this role, you’ll partner closely with researchers, strategists, developers, product managers, AI practitioners, and fellow designers to uncover opportunities, solve complex problems, and create experiences that balance user needs with business goals.

You’ll contribute across the entire design process, from discovery and research through concept development, design execution, validation, and delivery. We’re looking for someone who is naturally curious, collaborative, and excited about how AI is transforming research, design, product development, and the way teams solve problems.

At Nimbl, AI is not a future initiative. It is part of how we work today. We leverage AI-enabled tools to accelerate research, synthesis, ideation, content creation, prototyping, and delivery. This allows our teams to spend more time solving meaningful problems and creating value for clients.

This role is structured as a contract-to-hire opportunity. We require two days onsite per week, either at a client site or in our Nimbl office, to ensure strong collaboration and alignment with our teams and partners.

What you’ll do

Experience Design

  • Collaborate with researchers, product teams, developers, and stakeholders to design thoughtful digital experiences
  • Translate insights into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
  • Design intuitive, accessible, and scalable experiences across web, mobile, enterprise, and emerging digital platforms
  • Help shape and evolve design systems and reusable design patterns
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to balance user needs, business objectives, and technical considerations
  • Advocate for accessibility, inclusive design practices, and human-centered thinking

Research & Discovery

  • Participate in discovery activities including stakeholder interviews, workshops, research synthesis, and experience assessments
  • Contribute to usability testing, validation exercises, and insight gathering efforts
  • Help identify user needs, pain points, behaviors, and opportunities for innovation
  • Assist in creating journey maps, service blueprints, experience frameworks, and future-state concepts
  • Translate research findings into actionable recommendations and design direction

AI-Enabled Design & Innovation

  • Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate research, synthesis, ideation, content creation, wireframing, prototyping, and design production
  • Explore opportunities to incorporate intelligent experiences, automation, and AI-powered workflows into digital products
  • Collaborate with researchers, strategists, and developers to evaluate emerging AI capabilities and product opportunities
  • Contribute to the evolution of Nimbl’s AI-enabled design practices and delivery methodologies
  • Continuously experiment with new AI tools and workflows to improve efficiency, quality, and client outcomes
  • Help shape how AI can be applied responsibly and effectively while maintaining a strong human-centered focus

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Partner closely with designers, researchers, strategists, developers, and product teams throughout engagements
  • Present work clearly and confidently to internal teams and client stakeholders
  • Mentor junior designers and contribute to a collaborative, supportive design culture
  • Participate in design critiques and knowledge-sharing activities
  • Stay current on design trends, emerging technologies, and evolving user expectations

What We’re Looking For

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of UX/UI, Product Design, or Experience Design experience
  • Experience designing complex digital products, platforms, SaaS solutions, or enterprise applications
  • A portfolio that demonstrates strong problem-solving, user-centered thinking, and visual design skills
  • Experience contributing to user research, usability testing, or discovery activities
  • Deep proficiency with Figma and modern prototyping tools
  • Experience working within and contributing to design systems
  • Ability to simplify complex workflows into intuitive, elegant experiences
  • Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
  • Curiosity, empathy, and a mindset of continuous learning
  • Comfort working in ambiguity and helping teams move from ideas to action

AI & Emerging Technology

  • Demonstrated curiosity and hands-on experience with AI-enabled tools and workflows
  • Ability to incorporate AI into research, design, and problem-solving activities while maintaining strong human-centered design principles
  • Comfort learning and adapting to rapidly evolving technologies and ways of working
  • Interest in how AI is reshaping digital products, services, and user experiences

Bonus Experience

  • Experience working in consulting, agency, or client-service environments
  • Experience incorporating AI into design, research, product strategy, or content creation workflows
  • Familiarity with tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Figma Make, Cursor, Perplexity, Replit, Adobe Firefly, or similar AI platforms
  • Experience designing AI-assisted experiences, copilots, conversational interfaces, workflow automation, or intelligent decision-support tools
  • Experience designing for SaaS, B2B, financial services, healthcare, life sciences, or enterprise software
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, or React
